Dragonball Z Scouter
The Scouter was originally made by Lord Frieza’s Scientists. The Scouter Measures
the power and Energy of the creatures it scans and converts their energy and
power readings into Numbers so that a Fighter may compare his power level to
another warriors power level to see his chances and odds of winning. The Scouter
can also be used as a Tracking Device for Tracking other people. It was used
to track down Goku during the Saiyan Saga. The scouter becomes totally useless
if the power level of the person it’s reading is so powerful that the numbers
are off the chart and it usually causes the scouter to explode. The scouter
also fails to do it’s job if the person who is being scanned can suppress his
power to the near corners of his body. This makes the scouter inaccurately read
the fighters power level. This tactic was used by Vegeta to Defeat Cui in the
beginning of the Namek Saga.
