Naruto Legendary Sannin

The Sannin are a Elite Group of Ninjas that are above the level of Jounin. A Person usually get’s named the title of sannin for showing superior skill that is equal to a hokage or above. But since there 1 Hokage the title of Sannin was Created to show respected for those Ninjas. Currently there is only 3 Sannin. Tsunade The Godaime(5th Hokage) was a Sannin, Along with Jiraiya and Orochimaru who later on left Kohona for his own Evil Ambitions.

In the Show Jiraiya is referred to sometimes by naruto as Ero-sennin. Sennin doesn’t mean the same as Sannin. Sennin means Hermit, or Toad.
